Getting started

Step 1 – Join the club

Please join the club as a member and complete the profile questions. This will also help you get to know our members and the community itself. It will also give you access to our events and fellow advisors.

Step 2 – Create your advisor profile

To get you active on the website we need you to spend about 15 minutes or so completing our profile form. This will become your profile in the advisor’s hub

The information you put into your advisor profile should be slightly different from the bio on your member’s profile page. This bio should explain your experience and skills so that members can understand what they can learn from you. It’s worth looking at the other advisor’s bios for guidance.

When picking a headshot for your advisor’s page please read our image guidelines to ensure the is the correct size and proportions.

Step 3 – Add us to your address book

To ensure you get emails and alerts from us please add hello@wearecec.co.uk  and support@creativeentrepreneursclub.co.uk to your address book.

What happens next

The booking process

  1. A member will book into a 30 minute slot with ou
  2. You will receive an email notification about the booking. The message will also contain notes on the help the member needs
  3. Contact the member promtly to arrange a meeting. You can chooses to set up a video call or phone them, it’s up to you but it’s important to let the member know as soon as you can after you receive the booking

You can view a full list of your upcoming bookings at any time by visiting your My Bookings page.

Cancellations

If for any reason you need to cancel on a member contact them directly and please try to give them as much notice as possible.

Pausing or ending your commitment

Also if at any point you would like to pause or stop advising, please contact us at hello@wearecec.co.uk so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Expectations

  • Please remember that you are not anyone’s personal coach and really shouldn’t have regular sessions with the same member. 
  • If you have any problems or issues, contact us at any time at hello@wearecec.co.uk
  • No one expects you to have all the answers. If you reach a limitation, simply explain that it’s not your area and refer them back to the team at CEC and we’ll see if we can help, or find someone else who can. We’ve already managed our member’s expectations letting them know that while you’re experts in your field you are not consultants and your suggestions are based on your own experiences and anything they do following their meeting with you they do at their own risk.
