Margaret McSorley Walker

Margaret is a food consultant, trained chef, food and drink awards judge, and former Head of Food Innovation for Asda. There is no doubt that she has a passion for food.

As a food consultant, she offers food training, bench development, food tours, innovation sessions, and trends workshops to retailers, manufacturers, restaurants, and creative businesses.

She runs a Café in New Galloway, Dumfriesshire which recently was the recipient of the Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice 2021 Award – making The Smithy part of an exclusive group in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide.
