Website Scottish Arts Trust

We’re excited to let you know of a new nationwide photo award, free to anyone in Scotland over 16 years, for photos taken on any phone.

The Scotland Now! Phone Photo Award is open until 2 May 2024.

As well as a chance to win £500, the top fifty photographs entered will feature in a rolling digital display that will travel with the renowned Scottish Portrait Awards exhibition during its six month journey around Scotland in 2024/25.

The top 100 longlisted photos will also feature in an online exhibition.

There is no limit to the number of photos individuals can enter.

We’re particularly keen for community groups, youth groups and workshop participants to be involved. Up to 10 entries can be entered on behalf of an organisation using our Community Entry form. We’re also happy to assist with any entries if needed.

We’ve enclosed an A4 and A5 flyer and an A4 poster for notice boards.

A very short film for use on social media is also available SOCIAL MEDIA PHONE SQUARE.mp4

“The best camera most people have is the one in their pocket. We want portraits from across the country that reflects Scotland today in all its diversity, portraits which tell the stories of our time.” Colin Heggie (Chair).

How to Enter

Entries are open until 2 May 2024. For further details can be found by visiting Scotland Now!
