We are looking to recruit a freelance Festival Producer to lead on the delivery of Scotland’s friendliest small arts festival.
Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the Festival Producer will lead the small festival team and oversee all festival logistics, event management and operations. This is an exciting and pivotal moment for the Festival, against a backdrop of wider social and cultural shifts, and the Producer will play a key role in shaping the Festival for future years.
The role requires at least 3 years experience in arts events and/or festival management, including experience in budget management, fundraising, partnership working and maintenance of relationships with stakeholders and volunteers.
You will have a passion for the arts and culture, a collaborative attitude and ability to work within a small committed team. You will have exemplary communication skills, capacity for multi-tasking, be self-motivated and committed to delivering a high quality, exciting and innovative Solas Festival.
This is a freelance contract and working hours are flexible to reflect this. We will work around what works best for the post holder. We estimate approximately 90 days annually, based on 1-2 days per week (depending on time of year), with additional days on the lead up to the Festival in June.
The fee is an hourly rate of £17 per hour (7 hours per day) with additional budget for travel and expenses. The successful applicant would need to work from their own base.
