WHAT CAN A CLASSIC TALE TELL US ABOUT THE WORLD TODAY?

Taking classic stories as a springboard to create your own narratives, get ready to rip off and rewrite over a 2-day intensive devising project. Led by artist and director Sally Charlton, Rip It Off offers young theatre-makers based in Aberdeen an environment to explore contemporary themes through innovative adaptation and devising techniques.

Rip It Off will take place from 10:00 – 18:00 on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 August at His Majesty’s Theatre and The Lemon Tree.

To sign up, you must:

  • Be aged between 17 and 25(ish)*
  • Be based in Aberdeen and/or the North East
  • Be available on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 August

Please note, the project is limited to 20 places on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have signed up after the places have been filled, you will be placed on a waiting list. Register using the form below or find out more on the Rip It Off page.

*Scottish Youth Theatre understands that Covid and the cost-of-living crisis has severely restricted the opportunities available to young theatre-makers. If you are aged 26-28 and would like to participate, get in touch to discuss availability on the project.

DEADLINE FOR SIGN-UPS: 21:00 ON THURSDAY 25 JULY
