Lyra are looking for a musician-performer for a new production, Once Upon a Snowstorm. Auditions held on 11th October at 12 noon.

​Once Upon a Snowstorm is adapted from the children’s book by Richard Johnson, a beautiful tale of loss, friendship and love for families and young audiences age 5+. This Christmas piece will be performed at Lyra in December 2021, and on tour in similar community settings in Edinburgh and Glasgow, in spring 2022.

​This call out is specifically for those who identify as female and BIPOC+, especially welcoming applicants from the African and Caribbean diaspora, Latinx, the East Asian diaspora, from the South East Asian Diaspora, from the South Asian Diaspora, West Asian (includes Middle East) Diaspora, Indigenous people, bi-racial/ mixed heritage, or who self-identifies as a Person of Colour or Black. We are also interested in performers from Eastern European backgrounds.

Contract dates are:

8th November 2021 to 13th February 2022

Rehearsals:

8th November – 14th December 2021

Performances at Lyra:

15th December – 31st December (no shows 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th) Holiday week: 3rd – 9th January 2022
Community venue tour in Edinburgh & Glasgow: 10th January – 13th February 2022
