Glasgow Zine Library and GAMIS – Local Shorts Community Screening Submissions
Calling all local film-makers, want to see your work on the big screen? We’re taking submissions of short films to screen at GAMIS, the new open-air cinema on Batson Street, Govanhill, as part of Govanhill International Festival.
Through lockdown, we’ve hosted a few DIY cinema evenings, where we’ve gathered online to watch the weird, funny, touching and always fascinating films made by our audience.
This August, we’ll be hosting a REAL LIFE screening on a outdoor cinema screen, and we want to show your work off! The event will be on 13th August (tbc).
This is chance to celebrate the amazing, creative people who make up our community, and their film-making talents. The cinema will be community-based, with viewers from the neighbourhood. The event will be free to attend, and part of a larger programme of activities on Batson Street as part of Govanhill International Festival – more details to follow soon!
Any genre and length will be considered, though we can’t guarantee every submission will be accepted. Please make sure to provide content warnings if required. Please make sure you have the rights to show this film.
If you have a short film you want to show, please complete this form by 15 July.
Please note: This is not a paid opportunity.
