Website Glasgow Connected Arts Network

Relaxed, friendly & free networking event. This month’s theme is the power and potential of participatory filmmaking with Felix Gilfedder.

Glasgow CAN’s #CreativeConnect sessions are an informal, fun and friendly way to connect with other participatory artists and organisations in Glasgow. Each month we facilitate some relaxed networking activities and bring on board a guest speaker who delivers a 20 minute talk at the event about their practice, project or organisation, giving you the opportunity to learn and ask questions. It’s the perfect environment to connect with peers, meet new faces and strengthen your network and knowledge of what’s happening in the world of participatory arts. You do not have to be a Glasgow CAN member to join in.

This month we are joined by guest speaker Felix Gilfedder from Mobile Film School, who will be discussing The Power & Potential of Participatory Filmmaking using Mobile Technology.

This talk will look at real world examples and opportunities of how we can create more engaging, people centred and authentic films using user generated and participatory film practices utilising the mobile technology we carry around with us.

Topics include: what is participatory film practice, how to develop community film projects, training and utilising mobile tech, sharing online and accessibility.
