Ignite Theatre works with children and young people aged 4-24 from diverse backgrounds who live primarily in the North and West of Glasgow. The company was founded and is still led by young people seeking sanctuary. It is committed to giving young people a voice in their community. Through free weekly workshops and innovative drama projects, Ignite offers its members a supported environment in which they can fulfil their creative potential, develop confidence, forge new friendships and build their life skills to give them a better chance of achieving their goals.

Hours: 35 hours per week, working pattern to be confirmed but will include weekend and evening work
Location: currently home based, but once Covid restrictions are lifted, the post will be based at Knightswood Community Centre, 201 Alderman Road, G13 3DD, Glasgow
Purpose of Role
Ignite Theatre has recently expanded and has some exciting new projects planned to engage with new audiences in North West Glasgow. They are now seeking an experienced General Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of their organisation and for the management of financial resources to support this current growth. You will take the lead in the development and implementation of organisational policies and practices and take responsibility as required for all operational duties. You will keep the Artistic Director and board members abreast of all management, financial and legal requirements.
