Commission for a creative digital resource designed to support looked-after children’s preparation for the Initial Health Assessment process
Contract: Freelance commission
Fee: Up to £7,500, inclusive of VAT and expenses
Deadline for response: 5pm, Friday 10th September 2021
As part of the Arun Inspires programme, Artswork is working with West Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group and West Sussex County Council to explore ways to use culture and creativity to support the experiences of looked after children in Arun as they move through the statutory processes of the Initial Health Assessment (IHA).
Artswork would like to commission an artist or company to develop a new interactive digital product which may be a website, platform, publication or app to be used by looked after children, with their carers, in order to prepare themselves for the IHA. This animated / visual resource will tell the story of the IHA, explaining the purpose of the health assessments and supporting understanding of what to expect and what type of questions children and carers may be asked.
The process is likely to require specialism in UX and creative digital design. The resource aims to develop confidence in children and carers about the process before it starts, supporting them to take a more empowered and active role in their own care.
