Kim Edgar is a warm and engaging live performer with “a keen observation of the small details of people’s lives and the ability to turn those details into stories that can touch the listener at a very emotional level” (Southside Advertiser). This Edinburgh based pianist and singer/songwriter’s intensity and intimacy in performance have attracted glowing reviews:

“An inspired empathy” * * * * * Fringe Review
“An achingly honest voice…sparkling talent” * * * * Broadway Baby
“Imaginatively and beautifully crafted songs” Maverick

One eighth of the The Burns Unit collective (which also included Karine Polwart, King Creosote and Emma Pollock), Kim currently tours extensively as a member of the pan-European folk band, CARA (www.cara-music.com ), Described as "strangely uplifting, despite the well-phrased, sombre lyrics" and "a comfort blanket for the disillusioned soul” (The BIG Issue), Kim's songs capture distilled emotions, which increasingly wide audiences across the UK, and beyond, are identifying with and responding to.

Customer Service Agent

I have been a creative individual all of my life. What began as drawing and painting somehow grew into Jewellery making and design as well as Soap making and other related products.

I have recently decided to take my current creative skillset and improve upon it by undertaking courses that bring my creations up to a more professional standard and I am currently awaiting a start date to do so with Kelvin Colledge. I recently completed an accredited art therapy certificate with Udemy after a bout of depression and anxiety it was creativity and Art and Hiking that really helped me to battle my way back to "normality" Whatever that is.?

I am also in the process of working with Jobs and Business Glasgow, Business Gateway and New Enterprise Allowance to build upon and execute my current business plan.

I have previously worked in Retail and various other roles to help support myself and my son who is now almost sixteen (I feel so old lol) and working on achieving his highers at school.

If you would like to know any more please feel free to ask. 🙂
