Sam Moir

Sam Moir is Community Support manager at Zero Waste Scotland overseeing projects including Revolve – Scotland’s national reuse quality standard, a new sharing library and repair cafe network, and working with SIS on their Transition to Net Zero Fund. Sam’s passion is to encourage the growth of re-use and sharing projects with an ambition to see large scale hubs and social enterprises thrive. In 2011, Sam put her experience into practice and set up a community reuse social enterprise in Glasgow. Merry-go-round is about to celebrate it’s tenth year and is going from strength to strength. It supports 10000 people per year in the community with low cost second hand children’s items and supportive events, and distributes around 1000 packs of free goods to families in need every year.
