Reaching Your Full Creative Potential with Sarah Walsh
March 17 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
More about SarahSarah is a multidisciplinary artist with a body of work spanning 20 years ranging from illustration, painting, pattern design, hand lettering, product creation, character design and more. She received her BFA in graphic design in upstate NY where she grew up. Her love of gouache paint and her passion for mid-century design, vintage children’s books, fashion, all things magical, folk art, animals, nature and old school signage would become the foundation for her work. Early on in her career, she worked at Hallmark Cards as in house designer and illustrator. After several years she decided to branch off on her own and has since then collaborated with clients like Washington Post, The Guardian, Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster and Blue Q to name a few. She also runs and makes artwork for Tigersheep Friends, a small-batch product-based brand founded by her and her husband Colin Walsh, a fellow illustrator. She currently lives in Kansas City with Colin, their son, a crazy pup, chubby cat and a beta fish. She works from her sunny and plant-filled studio in the historic Rivermarket area.
