This page provides guidance on how to approach this course and set yourself up for a focused impactful learning experience.

It can be hard to find time for professional development. These tips are just a suggestion to help you get the most out of the course, feel free to adapt them to what works best for you.

1. Schedule a regular time to learn. Setting a regular time each week can help you make learning a part of your routine. Pop a reminder in your calendar and grab a cuppa. Regular sessions of 15-30 minutes are ideal for digesting new concepts and applying them to your business or practice.
2. Mark lessons complete as you go. At the bottom of the lesson page you will find a pink Mark as Complete button. This will help you keep track of your progress, plus who doesn’t love checking things off as done!
3. Do the lessons in the order that suits you. We’ve designed these lessons to be completed in order as new information and concepts build on previous ones. However, feel free to skip any topics that you already feel confident in. You don’t need to do every lesson.
4. Follow your curiosity. If you find an idea that gets you excited, act on it! Search for more details online and take notes on your discoveries. The more connections you make the deeper your knowledge will become.
5. Ask questions: Head over to our newly set up Ask a Question Forum to get help from our team and our expert advisors. You can ask about topics you tackle in the course, or about any other creative business problem you might have. You will get a notification when someone replies to your question.
6. Update your profile. Consider updating your profile. When members find you in the forums, they can click on your name to view your profile and get to know you better.
7. Use dark mode for a high-contrast view: In the top right of the lesson page, you will find a moon crescent icon. If you prefer a dark background with white writing this button will take you to the dark side.
8. Tell us what you think. At the bottom of each lesson, you will find the thumbs up and thumbs down options. At the end of the course, you will also be asked to complete a quick survey. Take advantage of these. They help us create the content you need.
9. Enjoy yourself. Courses are not a punishment. They’re a great way to sharpen or develop skills and reignite your interests. Treat it as an investment in yourself and it will become more enjoyable.
